I just learned that a regular attendee at our church was gay and I told him that our church being “Recycling” in Christ was a big reason why I wanted to come too.

Then I realized I meant to say *Reconciling*. Thankful for a church that accepts us all.

Happy to announce I have met another weight loss goal

I just had to say goodbye to my dog because I gave her up for adoption. She hasn’t adjusted well to our recent move and just needs more time and space than I can give her. My heart has been torn apart. It’s been 30 minutes and I miss her so much. 🐾 💔

I really do just have the best children. I’m so proud of the teenagers they are and the young men they are growing up to be.

Sometimes you need a coffee on your balcony with your cat and dog at your side.

I feel like I’ve done something right as a dad when my son walks into the living room after unpacking and says “Wow, Papi! W books!”

Our last night in Raleigh. Tomorrow we are back to Midtown after 7 years. It’s bittersweet moving out of the home where I’ve raised my children but we’re all looking forward to this next adventure.

Oddly enough, I didn’t sing along this time, even though it was in my own house! What’s wrong with me?

I’m loving watching #Wicked with my dear oldest. Such a beautiful way to spend a hot Saturday.

I graduated with my MA in Spanish from Middlebury College 20 years ago today. It was the end of a journey that included new experiences, illness, relearning how to walk, and still learning. I’m thankful to my community and community of educators who’ve poured into me all these years. #langchat

Remember that student I mentioned that I ran into the other night? I saw him again last night at a different venue. He was a Spanish minor.

“The path to proficiency doesn’t end,” he declared. And I felt so proud!
