EVOMG-DN EvoMG-DN is a European Doctoral Network funded by the Horizon Europe Marie SkΕ‚odowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), composed of 14 beneficiaries and associated partners from both academic and non-academic sectors.

Still a few days to apply for a PhD studentship in my lab as part of the MSCA doctoral training network EVOMG! Come help us develop informative models of blood-based biopsies in cancer, and learn about the various evolutionary aspects that can aid medicine.

When Cancers Outsmart the Immune System from the Very Beginning Cancer research is often seen as an arms race between the immune system and cancer cells, unfolding gradually as tumors grow. But our new study on colorectal cancer suggests otherwise: the battle may ...

Epigenetically driven and early immune evasion in colorectal cancer evolution - Nature Genetics This study nominates immune escape as an early event in colorectal cancer and shows how this can be driven through both genetic and epigenetic changes.

New @natgenet.nature.com paper from the brilliant @eszterlakatos.bsky.social presents evidence that chromatin alterations disrupt antigen presentation & neoantigens in colorectal cancer. Also that immune escape is part of the "Big Bang", at the outset of CRC growth. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

100% agree. My worst enemy is the ranking drop-down "how would you rate the quality of the article? - top 10%/ 25% / etc". Having been a reviewer filling these out, I'd know not to pay attention to it as editor.
