That‘s horrific. Assisted suicide should be solely a personal decision.
Even bigger? 😂
People do not learn from history, all admonitions notwithstanding. Part of it is that most know little or nothing about the history of their country and absolutely nothing about other countries.
Double espresso!
Lovely work. My copy is also pristine, suggesting little previous handling.
Great work - congratulations!
Dehumanizing is the standard modus operandi of antisemites.
Deutsche Bahn is hardly a great partner - unless you enjoy overpriced, consistently late service.
True.
After the description of Irritator in 2002 it was clear that Bayonyx was not a model for reconstructing Spinosaurus.
Why “valet” in quotation marks? The valet and his family cared for Humboldt during the last part of his life and thus was made heir to Humboldt’s estate.
Congratulations, Davey!
I always enjoy his off-the-wall comments on my publications shortly after they appear. The boundless arrogance of an ignoramus.
Cats NEVER obey.
Congratulations, Peter!
I did not read them in parallel but the later version seemed less substantial. As a museum person, both curator and senior manager, I’d love to learn more about Owen’s thinking about museums.
It is unfortunate that there was no follow-up on this important work. The subsequent book bu NR had a different focus. Owen still needs a comprehensive modern biography as scientist and museologist, not a hatchet job a la Huxley.
Brian sent me a lot of color slides of his work many years ago. He was a very talented paleoartist.
I had even one editor suggest that I was too picky to expect correct copy. “Others do not mind.” Needless, I will not publish in that journal anymore.
I had a bibliography with a lot of non-Anglo titles by non-Anglo authors. Incompetent ‘type-setting’ made an enormous mess of it. I understand that the publishing business is now pure greed, but why should we authors even bother to follow formatting guidelines?
I hope that the skeleton in Zürich will be sufficient to establish a diagnosable taxon.
Good - this use of bad AI should be stopped.
This is becoming the rule rather than exception - outsourcing to countries where English is not the main language and incompetent staff there using AI to make things worse. Authors are told how to format everything only to have outfits make a complete hash of it.
Most larger extant reptiles can use their tails for this purpose.
Schiller‘s quote has always been my favorite.
It is so bad it is a masterpiece 😂
One of the craziest movies ever filmed!
Where was this amazing specimen published?
I have always checked them to avoid problems.
