If we don't stand up for Venezuela now (the largest oil reserve in the world), it's a matter of time before the USA captures Canada next (fifth largest oil reserve in the world).

In the next two weeks, the @bcndpcaucus.bsky.social and @bcgreens.bsky.social are renegotiating their Cooperation and Responsible Government Accord (CARGA) for 2026.
It's time to ditch a system where 39% of the vote can grant 100% of the power.
On Nov 26, BC's all-party Special Committee officially recommended a Citizens’ Assembly on Electoral Reform. This followed a public consultation, where a staggering 93% called for proportional representation.
In case you ever wondered, New Years Day on the Gregorian Calendar is cosmically arbitrary, carrying no Astronomical significance at all. Just Saying.
Meanwhile, the dates of Chinese New Year, Lent, Easter, Passover, Rosh Hashanah, Saturnalia, Christmas, & Ramadan, all index to Astronomical events.

UK extracted $64.82 trillion from India.
A significant number of the richest people in UK today can trace their wealth back to #slavery & #colonialism, specifically the compensation paid to rich enslavers when slavery was abolished.

Very close to my home, in April 1919, Michael O'Dwyer, the lieutenant-governor of #Punjab perpetrated the Massacre at #JallianwalaBagh. By some estimates 1,500 peaceful demonstrators were killed (including many women and children) at the holy city of Amritsar.
Between 1880 to 1920, British colonial policies in India claimed more lives (100 million by some estimates) than all famines in the Soviet Union, Maoist China and North Korea combined.

In simple terms, the #British imposed heavy cash taxes on the Indian population, then used that tax revenue to pay Indians for goods. These goods were exported overseas, and the profits were invested back into the British economy, a legacy from which the British people continue to benefit today.
Today, people in #India will be celebrating the 79th anniversary of independence from the barbaric British #colonialism after a 200-year+ fight for independence.

Every day, on average, 35 children are killed in Gaza, amounting to a total of at least 18,000 children killed in this conflict.
No-go military zones now covering 70% of Gaza and the displacement of around 90% of the population to overcrowded living spaces with little access to clean water and sanitation, infectious diseases are rife.
The Israeli Govt has also targeted civilian infrastructure required for survival.
89% of the water and sanitation systems, and
92% of housing destroyed or damaged.
Starvation is only one aspect of this grim reality. Nearly half a million people are at risk of starvation, a predicament precipitated by the Israeli Govt's refusal to allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip for over 11 weeks, despite destruction of most agricultural, fishery, & food systems.
Gaza has been failed by silence and impunity.
