Couple things here:
1. What the fuck
2. I am allllllmost more offended by the suggestion that I would give this shitbox edit than having my identity stolen
3. The CEO is scheduled to be on Decoder soon and we will see if they back out!

Good.
This is appropriate. The reason those are licensed professions is that we recognize the danger of letting an untrained human dispense legal or medical advice.
That danger does not disappear when the advice is dispensed by an LLM. In fact, the danger multiplies
Iβm utterly uninterested in βdebatesβ about whether AI can do things well. I wouldnβt care if it could. 1. It stole from me. 2. I prefer me having my job to a computer having it. 3. I donβt teach βwithβ Lockheed or Raytheon; why wld I teach with Anthropic or OpenAI?
Shirley Chisholm flashes a peace sign.
Extraordinary online exhibition on the Nazi persecution of trans and gender non-conforming people. With lessons for us all, today. Curated by the fabulous Kai* Brust, trans historian in Berlin and member of the www.fu-berlin.de/presse/infor... project.

Great write-up from @katelynburns.com on why Polymarket (etc.) needs to be illegal. Finally got a chance to read today. Absolutely insane and unacceptable that this is allowed.

Two Kansans are suing in state court over the new law invalidating trans people's licenses & deputizing bathroom bounty hunters
And they're arguing on state law grounds alone
Kansas's anti-trans law violates federal law too, but federal courts can't be trusted

BREAKING: SCOTUS shadow docket decision rules in favor of forced outing of trans students, reinstating a lower court ruling against California's law prohibiting forced outing. Also references forcing teachers to misgender trans students. Horrific precedent.

is anyone writing about the rise of online gambling as it relates to the (supposed) male loneliness/disaffection crisis because I would read the fuck out of that
Six US soldiers dead in less than a week would be a scandal in any reality other than the hell dimension weβre trapped in where weβve decided Donald Trump will face no consequences for any action.
The Supreme Court in 2022: Women do not have a right to make important decisions about their health
The Supreme Court in 2026: Parents obviously have a right to make important decisions about their childrenβs health
And Iβd say even in the academic context this term is pretty rare and certainly not the norm. Some people use it and it doesnβt really impact anyone, so I just donβt see the outrage of a few people using some term you donβt prefer. Who is being harmed here?
If no one knows what it is, how is it being forced on anyone? If you donβt prefer it, literally donβt use it.
I guess unwelcome is in the eye of the beholder. I literally donβt care.
Literally there are other countries in America?
Itβs insane this is legal. People around Trump are profiting off war and death. Iβm introducing legislation ASAP to ban this.
'fraudulent amber alert' is the sort of thing that simply must have decades in prison attached to it because of how corrosive it is to one of the few remaining high-trust law enforcement/public safety mechanisms.
The night sky is ours. All of ours. Our childrenβs. Their childrenβs. We should be doing more to preserve the view of the stars for all. We give this up for some ludicrous to churn out wasteful nonsense to feed rich maniacsβ grift, itβs not coming backβ¦
It is very hard not to have a safe choice to use the bathroom in public.
It may be impossible to continue living, working, eating, etc without a valid driver's license if your life was built around driving and the assumption that your license wouldn't be invalidated overnight by the legislature.
It seems all Kansas-issued trans drivers' licenses are invalid, effective tomorrow
It is now illegal for trans people to drive a car until they surrender their license at a DMV (that most will need to drive to) and have it reissued with the wrong gender marker
This was never about woman's sports
