spring?
As with all great leftist thinkers, my greatest enemies are those immediately to what I perceive to be my Left or Right; those who go just too far or not quite far enough.
This is where the battles are to be fought, my friends. Pay no heed to fascist wave as it crests.
I can only stand in awe of your charming temperament. Lead us, Bo, to a glorious future.
Our hearts are with Temple Israel. Synagogues are homes of Jewish life. It’s where children learn, where families gather. They deserve to be safe.
This violence is a reminder of the threats facing Jewish communities. We stand united against antisemitism and hate in all its forms.
At this point, amongst much else that might be said, I think it's safe to say Morrissey is not a well man.
Four First Nations with territories in Aaron Gunn’s North Island–Powell River riding had a message for the Conservative MP last night: “Chillax, bud.”
Good job reposting your own smear 👍
“It is incumbent on us to speak plainly & clearly, as Palme would have done. That’s what Spain is doing. That’s what the brave people of [Minnesota] are doing, along with others in the US who are resisting fascism. They shouldn’t have to do so alone. They should see, in Canada, an ally.”

I don’t speak on #mbpoli publicly anymore for obvious reasons if you know me, but, and with all due restraint - let’s pursue that option.
This all feels very 2003-2006, as the occupation of Iraq fell apart but the Bush administration kept telling us “this is fine”.
Man, ICE is still driving around schools during school drop off times taking pictures of children. Fucking maddening.
Aaron Gunn: If the federal government truly believes in the private property rights of Canadians, they should probably stop opening every public meeting by proclaiming the gathering on the “unceded territory” of this or that First Nation. Doing so reinforces the radical and dangerous legal concept that most Canadians live on “stolen land”. This is Canada. One country. For all Canadians.
𝗠𝗣 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙛𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝘼𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙣 𝙂𝙪𝙣𝙣: “𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙭, 𝙗𝙪𝙙.” March 11, 2026 Chiefs from four First Nations communities are urging the public to please approach Aaron Gunn with no caution whatsoever. He is completely harmless, though momentarily unsettled by the alarming possibility that someone might acknowledge the land before a meeting. Yesterday on social media, the MP appeared to crash out and demand to speak to the manager of land acknowledgements, a position that observers confirm does not exist. Chiefs whose territories make up the riding had two words for the MP - Chillax, Bud. Land acknowledgements have never seized private property, cancelled a mortgage, repossessed a pickup truck, or altered a single title deed anywhere in Canada. They are simply people recognizing the history of the place where they are standing. No one is going anywhere. Canada will survive the brief moment of honesty. Until then, Chiefs across the region continue to reassure the public that land acknowledgements have not, to date, resulted in any land back. Conservative MP for Powell River–North Island, Aaron Gunn, is, uh, well he’s being trolled a bit for his condemnation of land acknowledgements yesterday. Message from K’omoks, Klahoose, Homalco & Tla’amin Nations: “Chillax, bud.” #bcpoli
An issue the Premier League sides now have isn't just the added stresses and strains of the Premier League vs other leagues, it is the extent to which they have now been built for purpose (or in Liverpool's case this season twisted for survival) to have a chance of prospering domestically.
Perfect tone. Bravo. I want to know who held the pen on this so I can follow in their ways and learn from them.
I will be their apostle.
By robbing our friends and relatives with substance abuse disorders of their humanity, we construct a class of people outside of humanity. The message we send is that there is a moral virtue to ridding ourselves of their presence. They become an offence to society. Fair game.
When we as a society create a culture of fear and disgust about the very presence of the most vulnerable amongst us, violence is the inevitable result.

There is no appropriate jail sentence for this level of evil. It can never be long enough.
It’s absurdist theatre.
Italian baseball I apologize I had not recognized your game.
It’s so bad. I love it sooo much.

Look I’m just a simple man who likes socialism, but dislikes socializing; loves Roman history, but despises empire; likes reading and thinking about Christian thought, but is an atheist; thinks he’s some kinda intellectual, but will probably watch BOTH Red Dawns for the 1000th time this weekend.
I think Trump thinks of war like those idiotic kings of Europe in the lead up to World War I. Exciting, romantic, tinged with a frisson of dread - but ultimately a seasonal affair. No conception that they were about to eviscerate a generation; not curious enough or mindful enough to conceive of it.
If I may plug my own thoughts (also as an atheist):
“It does not require religious faith to be fascinated by this man, this Jesus of Nazareth, who so offended & disrupted an age of political giants & cataclysmic change; who challenged orthodoxies & hierarchies in ways that are felt to this day.”
James Paxton. Wow.
I’m not going to speak for the Cuban baseball team or Cubans writ large, but I do wonder if “our country is being starved to death” might be having an impact.

What. The heck. Is wrong with him.
I've seen a lot of takes not worth responding to in my time, but "Jesus invented concentration camps" is right up there.
Some people need a lot more time off-line.
Okay! Take care!
