I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.

One of the things that hit me once I started to get to know the kids at work. Being the trusted adult makes me go "aww" and also "I am three anxious cats in a trench coat I'm doing my best just like you."

The good news my principal wants me back for the next school year. I'm just nervous about being a teacher again even though I want to try it again but expectations makes me nervous! Still, I have a lot of support I'm gonna try again!

March means that we're very close to this school year being over, which means I have to start making more strides in summer work and figuring out what to do for next school year. The bad news my position is technically coming to an end since it was stated for 2 year

To this day I still wonder how I managed to make her laugh and talk whenever she came by for her inventory check. I've had this kind of interaction many other times in my life that I once again go "What do I do to make this pretty lady laugh like this?"

She told me she needed that and we continued working together. When she left she told me she would be back again and hoped it was during my shift then she left. The manager who didn't like me asked me how did I get her to laugh and I couldn't answer because I was going through bi panic

Sometimes I'm reminded of the time I met one of the bosses that worked corporate when I worked at my uni's bookstore. She was so confident and so beautiful that I nearly jumped out of my skin when she asked me for help. I was so nervous that I can't remember what I said but it made her laugh
