On this #FluorescenceFriday, I am going back to my base, that is Taste Receptor Cells in the taste buds!
In this super-resolution image, you can see some taste cells (blue), neural innervation (green), and post-synaptic neurotransmitter receptor puncta (red)!

Hello science 🦋 world!
Can anybody share a reliable ethyl cinnamte-based tissue clearing method/protocol for craniofacial tissues and/or muscular tissues like heart or tongue? TIA.

Understanding how to make bitter medicines more tolerable for children is essential, especially for kids who need them for their health. Bitter tastes often lead to non-compliance😖, but researchers are finding solutions! 💡

It’s basically a mice where the neurons and fibers that express two genes/proteins simultaneously express RFP! We have previously found these neurons acting as mechanosensory neurons in oral cavity!

Identification of a postnatal period of interdependent neurogenesis and apoptosis in peripheral neurons Summary: Neurogenesis and subsequent apoptosis are thought to conclude perinatally in the PNS. This paper demonstrates that both neurogenesis and apoptosis continue at low levels for weeks after birth...

Interested in knowing how postnatal neurogenesis in peripheral nervous system stretches way longer than previously reported and how this postnatal neurogenesis depends on apoptosis, read our new paper published in Biology Open! #neurogenesis #apoptosis #PNS
