For many, the handling of dates is a level of abstraction higher than the problem. Such that it may not have been visible.

Dates being stored as two digits would have been an important optimisation in early computing.

Had a great deal of trouble putting poppers on my umbrella after the velcro went 💩.

In a flash of inspiration, instead of whacking the stupid bit of plastic with a hammer and ruining at least 5 of them 🪦, I had the idea to use a g-clamp!

Worked a treat! Much more controlled!

The first ever commission I did was for a very gifted programmer when we were both about 17yo.

He was writing a puzzle game and asked me to write the music for it. I showed him the track and his face grimaced a little before saying.

Managed to get 30 mins music in today and made some great progress! Didn't expect to achieve much so I just decided to 'show up'.

Turns out I was rewarded for that!

Been exercising my intervals training by working out kids songs in my head for my son to play.

The hardest part is when he starts singing the song from the beginning when I'm trying to work out an interval at the end.
