Certainly does look like a W-t Eagle even if not exactly a field guide rendition! Across the Pentland Firth on South Ronaldsay is the Stone Age Tomb of the Eagles tomboftheeagles.co.uk where many W-tE bones were found.

Could be better - too many captive animals (it’s not week in captive wild animals) and a lot of vague identifications of the actual species. How wild are those ‘wild horses’? If your sport, art or cookery coverage were of this standard you’d be embarrassed. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

I saw my first Brimstones, Peacocks and Honey Bees last week and now I can add another sign of spring - the first ice-cream van jingle (Match of the Day tune) in our street.
Question Time is sometimes pretty good but often horrendous, and I’m normally in bed at that time. But I see it’s from nearby Kettering and, more importantly, @georgemonbiot.bsky.social is on the panel. May give it a try tonight.

Glass half full tale.
I gave a talk last night in an in-county pub. Nice crowd.
Just before I arrived I was potholed and nearside front tyre wrecked. £75 taxi home (45mins) and the bill for repair to come.
But the group were fun and it meant I could have 2 pints as I wasn’t driving home. Cheers!
