When your weapon is out you can dodge roll right into a charge step. I thought you had to finish the roll, start charging and then you could do the charge step but you can do it during the roll so it can give you extra invincibility frames and get away farther ✨
Saw some hammer movement tech and my life is forever changed I take everything back (no I don't but some things are better now)
And by tech I mean something that was inherently in the game but I didn't know you could do... Anyways we will do a solo Proof of a Hero run back
You know, now that I think about it I hardly see any ads/advertising for it outside of directs so I wonder if it's just coincidence or that's just their strategy to advertise through directs.

I wonder why the Pokopia music has the Pokemon Center jingle in it so often. But I suppose it's because the game is meant to be healing 🎐

Getting hit does reduced damage to your HP and no knock down but adds extra drain to your stamina and once you run out you're put in a super vulnerable state to take a lot of damage.
I'm trying to be like this vs the monster if ya know ya know
I'd like the Wilds expansion to give hammer an alternative play style. Not necessarily just Courage hammer but something to change or even enhance its "role"
My proposal would be a mode that continuously drains your stamina but you get rock steady properties so you can stay in the fight

9 Attempts without Palico and 2 with Cookies n Cream later cutting it super close I finished the Proof of a Hero hunt solo. Truly the power of friendship was the key 😼
My hammer complaints still stand, but as I try to do I adapted and figured it out. I'd still like to do it fully solo another day.

Just dodge? The attacks have wider range and longer animations that last longer than your i frames.
Forgot to mention that sometimes the offset straight up don't work and you get hit + status anyways.
Idk at this point you might as well give it some kind of block or water strike back.
More attacks are able to offset? Most of the stronger monsters attacks do full damage to you even when you are successful and have a follow up to punish you.
Goal is to hit the head and get KOs? Again giant sweeping attacks that you can't avoid or offset because it takes 2-3 seconds to prepare one.
Little by little getting frustrated with how Monster Hunter increasing difficulty directly cancels out the improvements they provided hammer. (solo Proof of a Hero rant)
We get an offset follow up? The monster recovers faster with a wide sweeping attack before you finish your follow up animation.
I love it when I sometimes wear a mask at work people always ask me if I'm feeling sick that day, but it's more often because the guys with bad smelling and obnoxiously over-sprayed cologne are sitting in my vicinity 😷
Sometimes the smell sticks to my clothes so it lingers at home too...
