Yesterday was the birthday of Matthias Corvinus, King of Hungary and Croatia. His library, the Bibliotheca Corviniana, was one of the largest libraries in medieval Europe. More than 200 works from the library are known to be extant today, and have been cataloged as one of our Legacy Libraries. 💙📚

The newly refurnished Wien Museum is now open - I found the permanent exhibition to be very busy, labyrinth-like, and crowded during the holiday season (it's free to visit). Nevertheless, it was great to see some of my favorite Viennese objects, the museum is highly recommended! www.wienmuseum.at
