TFG have invested huge sums into Everton, they’re playing it smart. We could get the very best young progressive modern coach in the world but we still don’t have the players to play an attractive attack minded football. It’s just the way it is. We can’t get relegated this season above all

He was never taking a 6 month contract. Granted 18 months is what i was expecting but Moyes probably has the upper hand here, we need a safe pair of hands to make sure we stay in the PL and TFG know it’s very risky to go experimenting with someone unproven and it’s essential we stay up this season

Moyes was never accepting a short term deal, and I can see it from his point of view. It’s a very safe pair of hands is TFGs thinking. Carsley might well be an excellent PL manager but he’s no experience managing in the PL and just doesn’t seem like the right time to give anyone their apprenticeship

Won’t even be in the running and rightly so. We’re fighting for our lives we need an experienced manager to keep us up. Not the time for experiments or giving anyone their PL managerial apprenticeship

Unless of course he’s not telling the truth…. But ya looking likely it would only cost us about £2m to get rid. If I was TFG I wouldnt be giving him funds to spend in January only to sack him a few weeks later. If we’re getting a long term manager in they should be the ones having a say on transfers

We could definitely afford to sack Dyche it would just make our PSR even more tight for signing players in January. Best case scenario from a PSR perspective is Dyche keeps us up and we get rid in the summer. I would think they are giving him a few weeks to see if he can turn things around

Have seen some Roma fans say they are very proactive (and a bit reactive) in running the club but they don’t communicate much to fans so don’t be too shocked if they take a similar approach with us

Sort of. I suppose they bought him last summer but deferred the payment until next summer and cause we wanted rid we agreed to it

Yeah but that was the deal we struck. They wanted to buy him last summer but couldn’t because of FFP so we made a deal for a loan with an obligation to buy instead next summer. Unusual with an out of contract player but Everton only wanted to sell. Could still fine him tho 😉

Only thing is they have an obligation to buy in July so we’d be losing out on a transfer fee. A fine I would imagine

Would be a massive help. Two fast fullbacks who can also attack would be huge help as well. After having Baines and Digne and Colman in prime it’s really noticeable how ineffective our current full backs are at going forward

7-5 Usyk I scored it. Fury had moments in every round but for me not enough to win it. Right result although 8-4 is harsh

Think no matter what manager we have we need 2 new full backs and probably another winger. And think they’ve said themselves we have tight PSR restrictions still so it wouldn’t be any sort of significant backing but maybe enough to ensure we’re not relegated

Any new outstanding charges can take 14 days to show. I’ll probably believe the Friedkins themselves and Alan M above all anyway!!!

Don’t think we’re debt free. There is long term senior debt on the stadium, Alan M said about 300m. But we’re still in a massively better financial position. TBF also they do state that we have refinanced some of the loans on much more favourable terms
in the communication sent out today too

That’s assuming we have 10k walk ins every game. The big clubs have fans coming from all corners of the country and fans flying from all over the world for every game, will we get 10k walk ins for a Brentford game on a cold Tuesday night in December. Maybe, but I’d be doubtful

TBF KM has said we were close for 2023/24, he hasn’t mentioned 2024/25 so unclear whether sacking Dyche is possible. Alan M said they were looking at deals for January too so we must have something. We’re prob still not in a great place financially but who knows how much,if any, wiggle room we have

That’s for 2023/24 I think, probably still not great for this year but unknown at the moment just how close, or not, we are to breaking PSR. If we could afford to not sell JB maybe it’s not quite as bad this year

Alan M saying he thinks it’ll be the week of the 16th of December. PL approval etc might come through this week and then the small formalities could take it to next week.

As much as I love the stadium I do hope they sort the outside lights. It does look like a gas hob

Was wondering if he was including the clause in the calculation. Although just sent a link where Dyche says he has no sacking clause so might just be 2.5m total. TFG should be getting shot of him very soon

Hmmm, no sacking clause so. No excuse for TFG getting shot of him as soon as they’re in. Personally think he’ll get the chop after the derby on assumption we’ll be well well beaten

Will cost a bit more so. But fully worth it, relegation will cost far far more

Doesn’t he have a clause that he gets a full years salary to terminate his contract? Or is £2.5m his salary?

TFG are no fools, putting the money up to sack Dyche is going to cost a lot less than the hundreds of millions it’ll cost if we get relegated. Personally I think he’ll get the chop after we get a spanking in the derby

We all wanted it to work out but there comes a time when it’s just not working anymore. We used to be able to grind out results and be tough to beat. Dyche isn’t getting a tune out of our current squad anymore and we don’t want to leave it too long. IMO it’ll be after the derby spanking he’ll go

Sack Dyche 100%. Part of me wondering if they’ll wait for the spanking we’ll get from the derby and then hire Moyes on an 18 month deal just to get us safe this season. Long term plans can be sorted in summer for manager, DOF etc
