It's clunky for sure, but at the very least I can see the merit in the Wolrd 1 combat. You raised the creature up, determined its stats and at least have control over their growth and just let them loose to put that training to the test. Very much like the Vpets

This opening segment is like moving through the same vibe as the beautifully constructed pretendered background of the classic games and just pouring over them one by one, I don't know how else to describe it. Incredible vibes.
