On the day that deepfake nudification became illegal, it was good that @rusi.bsky.social published my commentary. TL/DR: creating new offences is the easy part; systemwide change needed; policing needs to up its game on online #VAWG threats for survivors to have confidence to report.
A woman whose images were deepfake edited and uploaded to porn sites without her consent has appealed to the Government to use every power to stop predators.
She told Virgin Media News the abuse led to years of panic attacks and unwanted contact.
