Those eyes! One of my favorites from 2024, a male Northern Harrier, aka The Gray Ghost. He's giving me the stink eye as he glides past, looking for his next meal. They are beautiful creatures, face more like an owl than a hawk. Forsythe NWR, NJ

So, one morning in 1968, I lined up with Bill Rodgers in the IC4A College Division Championship at Van Cortlandt Park, the Bronx. I'm second from the left... BR is far right, with his bib # _03 visible. Closest I ever got to Boston Billy, lol... he turns 77 today.
