Like, when you recognize that it’s good, but you know it could be better, it’s easy to start overworking your project. I always leave it for a few days then look at it with fresh eyes, if it feels good to you, just let it go and work on the next thing !

Not music, but I feel like the same concept could be applied to the creative process in general. Theoretically you can “improve” one song/painting/essay until the day you die, try and learn to recognize when you get into that loop. That’s when you stop and start something new.

and turkey tails just look so cool, they kind of remind me of the rings on trees

oooooooh!!! It's hard to choose a favourite, I think my top two are birds nest fungi, and turkey tails and I just realized their both bird related.... but the birds nest fungi is cool because when it rains, the raindrops land in the basket and can spread the spores UP TO THREE FEET AWAY!!
