I’ve been housesitting and one of the dogs I’m watching is afraid to come down the stairs. So I’ve been trying to train him to use the stairs and now he’s to the point where he’ll rest one foot on the step below him for about a second. Progress is progress, I suppose #forcefreetraining

I live near Ames. A friend of mine works at that facility.

It isn’t just about animal farming. They do important research into zoonotic diseases. And all of the animals there lost their caretakers. We should all be outraged because it affects all of us negatively.

When I mentioned to a friend I was thinking about organizing, he told me I had to be careful because the corporation could just shut down our clinic and I could be blacklisted as an employee. I decided not to try.

They’re no longer fighting for us. I’m not convinced they ever were. They aren’t going to stop this from happening and we can’t wait for them to save us.
