If she does sheβs not doing a very good job at getting her point across
If she does sheβs not doing a very good job at getting her point across
her hypocrisy astounds me
her hypocrisy knows no bounds
makes whatever point she is trying to make (to who idk) fall apart in the eyes of his far right audience. this womanβs logic is deeply flawed and her hypocrisy is glaring
look Iβm no fan of Albo but I understood the politically uneducated audience the interview with him was for. one of the critiques of abbieβs interview was that she didnβt challenge albo enough but clem on piers cannot even get a word in edgeways and it just-
hey quick question why would clementine ford sit on a leftist high horse dragging abbie chatfield for interviewing the PM but then go on PIERS FUCKING MORGANβS SHOW π
Isnβt Everest tourism killing the environment and also putting the local sherpas at risk all the time? Wow some environmental ally Clem is π€ͺ everything I find out about her gets worse
she gatekeeps politics and feminism and pits herself as the authority because sheβs university educated etc. sheβs just kind of a mean girl
finally there is discourse about clementine ford having turned into a bully toward people on the same side as her. been biting my tongue on it since she snapped on me in her comments section for simply questioning her methods. she is projecting her (rightful) anger at the world onto the wrong people
I am sure thereβs more but the only thing coming to mind now is the witch twins from a later season of The Vampire Diaries but they very much sidelined over the guy over the girl one (he was gay too but from memory his bf was only ever mentioned off screen which sucked π)
the fact we have to number all of them is terrifying me. obviously Iβll number greens 1 then Labor second but which order do I put the rest since all 4 of the rest are shithouse
the candidates I have to choose from for house of reps for this election is fuckin bleak. thereβs 6 and itβs greens (which Iβll number 1), labor, then liberal, libertarian, one nation and an independent who has a bunch of coked out rants on his website including one about how palestine βisnβt realβ
*comedy festival
anyone wanna see sez and nazeem hussain at the comedy show tonight? My friend with the tickets woke up sick and something came up for me so sheβs looking to sell. 2 tickets for each show, nazeemβs at 4, sez is at 6
thank you!
how it feels to be an optimist living in late stage capitalism
But could you number like 1-16 say below the line and stop if none of the parties after that aligned with you?
Ooh thank you! I was wondering this too, like if I went over 12 if I then had to keep going all the way or could stop at a random number after
I hope so! I was just looking at all the senators running though and wanted to preference a few more than others and wondered what would happen if I preferenced a greener (pun intended) senator over a seasoned one and didnβt number the seasoned one. Would that waste my vote if I want greens in?
I guess my fear is what happens if none of my preferences get up enough
so might be worth numbering all the senators in the party I prefer anyway, even if I donβt order them consecutively? I guess I just fear it being wasted if I only vote for, say, 2 greens senators and then ignore the other ones for other progressive parties/ind cause what if none of them get up
No thatβs House of Reps. Senate you can choose 6 or 12 and they donβt have to be either major
Yeah I know that I guess Iβm more wondering if itβs wasted if none of your 12 have a chance of getting in (say I wanted to nominate 2 newer Greens candidates over the seasoned one who is #1 on the list) How do preferences flow then?
Oh I was sussing out the senate ballot. Isnβt that one by state? And the House of Reps is your electorate? Cause for Victoria thereβs 6 Greens
I know itβs 1-12 instead of 1-6 like above the line but I guess Iβm wondering what happens if I preference say, two greens senators and then give my other preferences to other progressive party senators/ind and then none of those greens senators are popular enough? Not sure if that makes sense
I guess I like the concept of voting below because it means I donβt have to go with whoever that party has nominated as #1 but then does that matter if the senator I #1 doesnβt get enough? Does this make sense?
I know greens will be alright but what if I want one greens senator over the other. If I preference only, say, 2-3 greens senators and donβt number the others and give my other preferences to other parties what happens then?
I guess my confusion comes in with wondering if itβs a waste if not enough people vote below the line? like if I number, say, all the greens senators and progressive parties/ind from 1-12 what happens if not enough ppl preference those senators or at least not in the order I did
gonna be vulnerable with an auspol question here and admit I donβt really know how voting below the line works but I want to do it this year because it means I donβt have to number either of the major parties on the senate ballot if I donβt want to (?) and-
extremely unsurprising vote compass result for me
