In 1995 I was the note taker for the Congressionally-mandated, NICHD-hosted advisory meeting on developing an autism research agenda chaired by Sir Michael Rutter. Experts included Temple Grandin.
The resulting science led to advances we could not have imagined that day. I stand for science.

Measure what you treasure means you give a damn about evidence. No measurement translates to all is going just great, again. Foul and foolish to blow up decades of policy research infrastructure and expertise for evidence-based decision making.
