I think I’m aging out of fandom. I had to look up what BL means today bc someone said IWTV isn’t BL they are old queens. And I had no idea what that meant.

I feel like I’ve been involved in pretty tame fandoms or have managed to avoid it before but the Heated Rivalry fandom is wild.

And then finding out Blackbeard is the raccoon in the wizard hat

I felt the same way. Especially since I had most of the soundtrack already in my playlists. And that I have remixes of them from ten years ago that I had forgotten existed.

Omg I’m obsessed with narrowboats.

Dipped my toe in some Heated Rivalry fics and I feel super old. It’s set from 2008-2017, and they have these boys on Reddit and instagram live. They keep saying things like “we can go out in public and be together.” It’s wild.

The collision of Wolf Parade and Fandom reminds me of the time I listened to it over and over on a bus to Best Buy in college. The worker asked if I downloaded anything or watched anything questionable and I said yeah. He meant p*rn, and I meant pirated episodes of Doctor Who.

I just want it on the record that Wolf Parade’s I’ll believe in anything has been my song since I was in college.

Finally watching Heated Rivalry. It’s fine. But the soundtrack is a banger.
