Cutie Honey flies a plane in episode 5 but she really should've been Hurricane Honey. Earlier in that same episode, Danbei recognizes Honey while she's in a disguise, which is arguably another error.

I find it amusing that Honey Kisaragi seemingly learns how to drive on her own around episode 9. In the first episode she could barely drive a scooter. It's implied she can only operate vehicles when she's Hurricane Honey.
This is the type of stuff I want to see Honey doing.
One of the most famous motherly voices in the industry, playing roles ranging from Maetel, Reika Ryuzaki, Nodoka Saotome, Kamaria Ray, and countless others. May she rest in peace.
I still blame Anno's changes introduced in the 2004 movie/Re: Cutie Honey for stuff like this.

This fucking sends me because the person didnโt even say anything bad! Just that the new dub didnโt click for them. People have said farrrrr worse things about many things about the old dub. Linda *still* gets flack for a role she took over 20 years ago.
Like most of the international dubs changed their names! Spanish, Swedish, Italian, South Korean, etc etc

Which is a little infuriating because itโs like, oh, you CAN properly translate the show while keeping it in the overall style youโve established!
And despite the fact they rewrite so much, they *still* manage to make silly continuity mistakes and errors. Also, there are a few episodes that are noticeably more faithful than the rest, namely the episode where Neflite dies.
BTW Iโm about halfway done with the first season of the DIC dub. Honestly, itโs worst offense is just changing stuff โjust cause.โ There actually isnโt a lot of censorship, itโs mostly stuff like โhow about we slow down this scene? Oh wait, letโs rearrange these shots.โ
Iโm pretty neutral. I like the old dub but I fully admit how deeply flawed it is. But I feel like I can be more forgiving considering all the circumstances. Iโm not a fan of the Viz dub but Iโm glad it exists. I guess Iโm just that person who can enjoy multiple versions of a series!
SMF is a whole other beast. I just feel like if you are presenting yourself as the face of an American Sailor Moon network, you probably shouldnโt shame fans who might like the old dub. (I know thatโs not the case here but itโs a common theme with her)

So, she has a weird vendetta against the old dub and always makes a big deal about evil and awful it is. Playbill did some cute graphics for the musical that referenced the old dub and she went on a rampage about how โawful it was.โ Sheโs also giving people shit for liking it.

Before everyone hits me with โUM ACTUALLYโ - yes, I know we were missing stuff like NEPs, the specials and Stars but we still had the first four seasons released here uncut in Japanese.
Her attitude towards the old dub is so ridiculously corny. Also the implication that an uncut version of Sailor Moon wasnโt available in English before Viz came along is wrong.
