I believe what I said about Twitter in the early days is still true. It was the only truly open platform that allowed us to connect with just about anyone.
What it became was less about connection and more about broadcasting. That just leaves us with more media when we yearn for social connections.

Learning once again, it's not what you know, it's who you know. Of course, who you know requires tapping into what you know about them.
I remember the first time on Twitter when I got a response from someone I wasn't connected with.
It was when I was in the bathroom remembering how my dad would read the newspaper and here I was reading my phone.
I can imagine myself being an ancient philosopher being laughed at and ridiculed on the streets of Rome.
Only to be shared by so many social media accounts today.
Never think you are crazy because others don't 'get' you today.
