It’s barely been a month since my grandmother died and at least twice a day I have to stop myself from calling her at 2pm and 8pm…
I’m still expecting her to call me back asking what snacks to get the boys for their Spring Break visit.

So, I just achieved something 9 year old me never could back in 1998 in Pokemon Blue on the Switch version of LeafGreen: capturing a Dratini in the Safari Zone.

9 yr old me thought the only way to get Dratini back then was winning one at the Game Corner or catching one postgame.

Today was my birthday.

Got to see some cool ice age exhibit at our state fair and my boys got me the new G3 Cupid.

My youngest brother is still in high school and he was born my junior year of high school. That started a whole ass rumor that he was actually mine and Mr. Nerd’s secret HS baby, but the timeline does not add up at all no matter how hard people have tried to make it line up.

So, not to toot my own horn, but being outed/recognized as a “low tier popular convention gremlin” while I’m trying do my grocery shopping kinda slaps.

It just sucks when the person that does it goes to school with my brother and they automatically assume I’m actually his mother cuz of my age. 🥲

I never got her name.

All I knew was her husband was en route to stay w/ her.

We spent her final hour discussing our families.
