Damn
Damn
I just saw that it is going online only. But a complete cancellation, but not good.
My internal, kidding, pronunciation is blΓΌski. That ue is just a simplified ΓΌ.
But, my external pronunciation, when trying to communicate with another person, is bluesky.
Finished Slow Gods. It was very good! Thank you for mentioning it.
CoCo !?
Doesn't that limit them a bit on motive power? π
I was lucky enough to have parents old enough to tell me that Foghorn Leghorn was modeled on the character Senator Claghorn from Fred Allen's radio show.
They did also have to explain radio shows. π
1941?
I'm fine with the current set up. But if I had to choose, I'd pick DST. Mornings always suck, light or not.
But, living in the middle of a time zone and at almost 39Β° N, it alp works well for me.
As you note it's only most useful for within the temperate latitudes (and not the whole range either).
"[...]βmulti-benefit one Infrastructureβ framework, meaning that when it repaves streets, it also upgrades curb ramps, repairs sidewalks and trims street trees."
Except it's all spread across many offices who pass the buck with skill. So it ends up not one infrastructure in fact. Grrrr.
A viola joke?
I have no idea why it sounds different. But I agree they didn't all sound the same.
I hope that your imaging comes back with diagnostic good news for you.
It's a Marathon: running is the way!
I have had that thought while I'm them. There do seem to be short patterns. But that could also be an illusion.
If it exists, I figure that neb knows MRI music.
And now I've ordered Risen Empire and Slow Birds.
A digitally drawn homage to the George Herriman comic strip Krazy Kat. Starting left of frame we see yellow Ignatz Mouse having just thrown a brick which is sailing across the center of the frame and in another instant will bash the oblivious Krazy Kat (a blue bipedal cartoon cat wearing a red scarf) in the back of the head as he walks innocently to the right. Everything is drawn in rough black pen and colored in pale washes. A speech bubble from Ignatz reads βMaybe it willβ¦β, the word βHappenβ appears in the whooshing trail of the sailing brick, and a final speech bubble belonging to the Kat reads ββ¦Todayβ.
And it's not a peeve at you. I'm annoyed by them. You're doing good work here.
Fair enough. At least they could have given them dissimilar names like American with Piedmont, Republic, etc
Anyway, it's just a peeve of mine. Nothing serious.
A peeve tangent
I want them to change their name. Eastern Air Express (BBQ) and Eastern Airlines (EAL) are too easily mixed up.
Also, Express shouldn't have the cool BBQ code.
Also, also... I'm not thrilled about EAL walking around in an Eastern Airlines skinsuit.

But I have only two wheels in the lane! I'm a bicycle in those lanes.

Among other things, he interfered with law enforcement detaining someone. Surely he is opposed to that. (Yeah, sure.)

They kept consular services running during the evacuation of Kabul!
Different administration; different priorities.
Museum is an old word. Not many people know it these days.
Sounds like Trump.
Now for me, it is a temple to the Muses with a priesthood and sacrifices to the gods. That would go over well in Indianapolis! π
Fingers crossed for you.
Dewey
(He didn't beat Truman either)
There are a few causes I'd like to sneak through the curia. His and Bonhoeffer's are on my list.
When I was a child, visiting Florida from Boston, I ordered a frappe at a HoJo's. They didn't understand "frappe" and tried to pawn me off with a "milkshake". I knew what a "milkshake" was! I didn't want that! I explained what a frappe was and they kept on saying that I wanted a milkshake. π
I'm not arguing with la force de frappe. Tastes great, plus can destroy cities.
Frappe > Milkshake
Radio 4 is static. So, they open the envelopes.
