Just to clarify - the generators do NOT USE AI AT ALL. It's all HTML canvas and JS - old tech that's been around for decades - it all renders in your browser. I am most definitely not pro AI, and actually expect AI will someday soon make my site obsolete and render all the work worthless, so yea lol

Just published an update to the Pokopia font generator that will scale the text size down if it would render off-screen vertically. If your generation previously had cropped text try it out again and everything should fit within the frame!

Thank you to everyone who has pointed out the generators are NOT AI though, they're just plain HTML and JS - you type in the box and it arranges assets I created (multiple font layers, shadows, images with clipping masks, etc.). HTML Canvas tech is old and fairly simple in terms of code.

Yeah I took that post down, not because I even think it's extremely pro AI - I was just excited about the tech when gen AI made the jump to video and was impressed with what it could do. But the last thing I'd want to do is give anyone the impression I'm pro AI. 1/2

Thank you! I don't think I've seen the post you're talking about but you're correct that's it's all just plain HTML Canvas/JS, it's actually quite old tech. I do understand the word "generate" has kind of become synonymous with gen AI though...I should probably change that.

Fair point, I removed that article now. Definitely don't want to give the impression I am pro AI - in fact, the very concept of my site and all the work I put into it could possibly be rendered obsolete in the coming months. That real possibility weighs on me as I invest hours into it.

Hey now, I get the anti-AI sentiment, I share it myself and work in an industry being hit hardest by it. I make the generators myself, and it certainly doesn't feel like I pump them out quickly - each one takes a few hours minimum and sometimes I spend 10+ hours making tiny tweaks to get it perfect.
