A gentle full stop to the day.

Weary on the meadow path, surrendering the day’s unmet expectations, a ladybird stopped me in my tracks.

Ladybirds are made to hold the light — their tiny shields catching sun and reflecting it back.

As though the whole day were gathered there.

Enough. Full stop.

A real moment in time 😊

This isn't a new piece of mine. But it's a very moment-in-time one which I'll often remember when there's a rainy night and a late-night car drives through.

In the middle of the night, mist has carefully smudged out the world, while rain drips in a constant rhythm outside the window.

Shrouded in her comforter, she tries to count sheep. Then blessings.
And instead, she wonders at the errand of the solitary car slicing through the wet 3am streets.

Shivelights and komorebi are two of my fave light/nature words 😊
