It's pretty widely rumored. It's never proven. And you would have to believe that someone with political savvy would make themselves a lame duck on day one and take themselves out of the running for a desired job.

I think tax design is really interesting and complex and there's a ton out there written on it. I think we need a mix of progressive and broad-based taxes as well as selected specific taxes. There is no silver bullet
No, it isn't at all. Taxing only the super wealthy will never work because they have unbelievable flexibility for redeployment of their assets and therefore avoidance. There's also the issue of the variability of incomes of the super wealthy which leads to huge variability of tax revenue.

This is his attempt to find a lane to run for president. He was very disappointing at that in 2020. I don't think he has learned anything unfortunately. But we have several much better options waiting.

Still very wrong to not understand the relative importance of factors. Without inflation, the uniform anti incumbent swing would not have been around eight points. Easily Would have been a winnable race by an incumbent, even an old one, especially with good jobs and employment numbers.

No I think you're missing the subtext. It's about the ennui, the dissatisfaction with materialism and conformity, The yearning for some kind of authentic life. But not knowing what that might be
It indicates not only inexperience with politics but inexperience with life in general. Inexperience with jobs, with negotiating an organizational structure, inexperience with personal relationships etc
