Dem nominee faces bipartisan calls to quit over racist, misogynistic social media posts Va. Dem candidate Sef Casim faces bipartisan pressure to drop out after old posts using racial slurs and misogynistic language surfaced online.

Y’all want to see a cautionary tale of exactly what Black Folks have been trying to warn y’all of for years?

This guy Sef Casim ran as a young progressive candidate against a BW and all the usual suspects lined up behind him.

After he won the caucus/primary a bunch

Yeah, you're right. I'm sure you have a long history of picking winners and understanding voters. The proof is your astronomical success at taking over the party.

I think you're funny, too.

This is a move, not intended to pass but to create ads to run against Republicans, because it has no chance of passing. You really don't understand this? These kinds of forced votes happen all the time, with the proposer not intending to pass. Sometimes even Republicans do it.

He's a star. You're just one of a tiny number of people who thinks he isn't.

That poor small brained child blocked me. But he sure does know things from the online Internet thingy.

I'm not surprised that you are. You really should go back to the kiddie playground.

Do you not know what rumors are? Do you not know about news stories that are not real? Do you not know about the general dishonesty in media in the last 20 years? Do you not understand how Biden opponents might have created the story? Lot of things you could use some help on.

11.03.2026 00:22 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

It's pretty widely rumored. It's never proven. And you would have to believe that someone with political savvy would make themselves a lame duck on day one and take themselves out of the running for a desired job.

Biden never did that. This proves you're as susceptible as anyone.

@henrythedog.bsky.social I think would have the answer

I'm amazed at the constant online assertions that large numbers of voters know about all of platner's issues. I think it's a small fraction

Almost nobody knows about the tattoo - it shows this is a very online analysis. Let the campaign ads begin.

I can't wait to see if he tries any of his quack therapies. Rotator cuffs are brutal. The pain could also force him back into addiction. That would also be interesting.

"You're an interesting person."
"I wish you peace."

In addition to their center-right to right preferences, they deeply resent someone whose success they did not make.

We need him to be wobbling, falling and getting lost to break through, and he's just not there yet

I think tax design is really interesting and complex and there's a ton out there written on it. I think we need a mix of progressive and broad-based taxes as well as selected specific taxes. There is no silver bullet

09.03.2026 15:08 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

No, it isn't at all. Taxing only the super wealthy will never work because they have unbelievable flexibility for redeployment of their assets and therefore avoidance. There's also the issue of the variability of incomes of the super wealthy which leads to huge variability of tax revenue.

Cory, I was once a fan. This is a bad proposal politically and policy-wise.

This is his attempt to find a lane to run for president. He was very disappointing at that in 2020. I don't think he has learned anything unfortunately. But we have several much better options waiting.

Doesn't this guy have the potential to be much more popular than stephen miller ever could be. So it's actually worse.

I really lost a lot of respect for Snyder in the last few years. Posting idiotic stuff like this from Toronto.

Still very wrong to not understand the relative importance of factors. Without inflation, the uniform anti incumbent swing would not have been around eight points. Easily Would have been a winnable race by an incumbent, even an old one, especially with good jobs and employment numbers.

08.03.2026 00:09 πŸ‘ 7 πŸ” 1 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Guy there blames Biden as a larger factor than inflation. Which is ridiculous, especially given how confidently he says it. Guess he never wondered why incumbents all across the globe lost.

07.03.2026 23:53 πŸ‘ 8 πŸ” 2 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

And I'm going to get mystical here. There is a level of understanding of human consciousness that humans will never be able to reach. Let alone any machines human can create.

07.03.2026 21:41 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

No I think you're missing the subtext. It's about the ennui, the dissatisfaction with materialism and conformity, The yearning for some kind of authentic life. But not knowing what that might be

It indicates not only inexperience with politics but inexperience with life in general. Inexperience with jobs, with negotiating an organizational structure, inexperience with personal relationships etc
