yep. and it competes well above that--the whole C8 lineup does! the base C8 has supercar performance, the Z06 is firmly in the upper end of supercars, and the ZR1X is a hypercar.

when I was a kid I was obsessed with corvettes, specifically the Callaway versions and the mid engined concepts (Indy and CERV 3). when this debuted in 2019 I went nuts over it, was like a complete realization of what 10 year old me obsessed over.

now it's mine.

the Z06 and ZR1 are way too much for me, both in price and capabilities. Undoubtedly the majority of those will be sold to the older, more typical Corvette demo and used to get coffee more than anything else, but I did not consider them seriously (also not insane).

for details, this is a base C8 with the Z51 track package and the middle of the road trim level--2LT. the general Philly area is heinous with roads and I needed the front end lift from that package just to drive it.
