Trust me, I def think Part 2 is “Denji Torture: The Comic.” Like that boy cannot breathe for a second without somebody trying to ruin his life 😭

I mean two things can be true: his life circumstances sucked and consistently ruined his chances of bettering himself + he also had a lot of internalized issues that he was never gonna fully confront

But it is PAINFULLY human, and you don’t get to see a protag that flat out refuses to better themselves, esp in shounen. It’s uncomfortable…but also like, kinda cool.

I’m still stealing Fujimoto’s knee caps tho bc so much of part 2 was some BS

Denji had love, care, stability, and was never satisfied. He loved causing a mess, he loved to be delusional, he loved chasing what he couldn’t have. And Pochita had to be the one to give him some tough love. I’m not saying this story is perfect (far from it)

LITERALLY. Like on one hand, this is interesting. On the other hand, I will be outside his door w a bat.

I thought CSM part 2 felt a lot like Denji torture porn but turns out the point of CSM Part 2 is to show that Denji’s problem is that he’s addicted to the chase and finds more pleasure in suffering….Denji was never gonna get better bc he’s self destructive to his core……

US history is nuts bc today I learned that there were government funded real life gore films masqueraded as “documentaries” of actual car crash victims that were shown in Driver’s Ed classes to “educate new drivers.”

This practice only stopped in the 2000s bc unsurprisingly it wasn’t effective.

Gaza Sunbirds has a mobile cinema where they move between camps providing much needed joy for the children of Gaza by showing kids films such as Ratatouille.
