It's not what I want from the Sims games, I know that much.
EA seem to be on a mission though. I'm already of the opinion that timed events are ruining the Sims 4, and now we're getting in game currency. I'm genuinely worried we might eventually get timers on the event tasks, that can be sped up.
The mobile games are terrible. I've tried them all, and not a single one of them has managed to keep my attention for longer than a day. Events, timers, energy, and limited time rewards. I hate that kind of gameplay personally.

the downside in this is the fact that the system is created to exploit the player in ways that are taken directly from gambling.
I try to stay out of things & keep my mouth shut, but today I’m cancelling multiple patreon subs.

After EA announced the Sims 4 Marketplace, I joked about making my own "billboard" for CC creators.
Well, it works! I finished a framework for main menu override that highlights free community content for PC/Mac. It updates automatically and I’ll be opening sign-ups for free creators soon!
"permapaywalling is bad, just put your content on our super cool marketplace where we make 70% instead and players will always have to pay for it " 😌🤪
The marketplace math: creators do all the work for free, company invests nothing, takes 70%. That’s a 100% margin built on independent contractors with no job security, benefits, or employment protections. it devalues game developers and artists too, and I really hope this blows in their face.

Do not be surprised if that sims 4 2.0 that's been rumored (and is most likely true) launches as this being the only vehicle by which CC can be utilized. This is where the over monetization of this game has led us, and now everyone loses 😕
It's super disheartening to be honest. The only thing that really keeps me playing the Sims 4 these days is the attachment I have for my sims. I'll have to see how this all unfolds for now. However, I can't see it having anything other than a negative impact on my enjoyment of the game. 😭

This current event is ANNOYING! The tasks wanting me to visit specific lots in Willow Creek. Lots that have been replaced in the save I play these events in. I'm sorry, but I don't keep shitty EA lots in my game... I know my complaint is wasted here, however...

This community has proved time and time again that they are completely right in every way to feel this way. The sims community will buy literally anything they put out for the game. It could be an literal poop that does nothing, however, slap a plumbob on it and you guarantee players will buy it.

Yeah, it's frustrating. I've been avoiding my legacy save. I'm mostly only playing in a save that I don't share gameplay online, and don't care too much about photos. I find it ridiculous that they can't fix it to be honest.

I didn't even watch the gameplay trailer. That's how much I care for it. I'm sick of all these different systems bloating the game. All they ever really do is spam us with obnoxious pop ups, and endless notifications that mostly only ruin the flow of my regular gameplay.
It's for the best most likely. I really don't see a good future for the Sims franchise anymore, what with the new owners and everything. I have a bad feeling, like it's only a matter of time before we will most likely start seeing AI slop being added into the game. 😭

You're braver than me. I'm at the point where I don't care enough about anything new to risk updating my game. I didn't buy the last five kits, and this new expansion looks like absolute garbage to me. 😂
