That's not what happened. Did any Liverpool fans actually read the reports on this or did someone come up with their own version and the rest just jumped on board?

Twice in 6 years Arne
I'd completely forget if it wasn't for the likes of the Guardian reminding me

Happy to hear, his art is incredible.
In a way I poty them, their lives must be so empty and devoid of purpose that they derive pleasure from trying to put misery on others.
Have Messi on your books.
I don't think so, he was our player of the month that January, winner against Chelsea, assisted the equaliser and scored the last two in the 4-2 v Spurs too.
Yep in hindsight, although he was integral in the treble year after the World Cup, himself and Grealish carried us whilst the rest of the squad was getting back up to speed, I wonder would he have had the same motivation without the contract extension.
And that's when he's cold ๐
Obviously, he wouldn't have been in the first team squad in the first place if he wasn't highly rated. Just bad timing.
Lumberjacks hard at it.
Simpson Pusey will likely fill in when needed but I feel for the lad, great that he's getting senior minutes but not ideal that he's coming into a struggling side.
Cheers Adam, I'm a big fan myself and worried that any new signing may block his path.
That said, we can't continue with 3 of 4 CBs being so injury prone, so somethings got to give.
Dream CB signing would be Bastoni for me, although Scalvini really impressed me last season too.
How's Callum Doyle getting on this season? Is he still impressing?
You didn't, more a general point because it's an opinion I see bandied about a lot.
Not a dig mate, at all. I fully agree, we've moved away from that system/style, just the idea he's useless out wide gets me when he was fundamental there in 22/23.
Agree but let's also acknowledge that for that treble side that exhibited more pragmatism and more importantly robustness, he fit that role really well.
I would, I prefer that idea to some of the names I've seen thrown about. If we want someone to hit the ground running and plug the gap right now, this move makes sense to me.
I was saying it in a Scottish accent before I saw the bracketed bit ๐

I don't get why they don't just get the day off. If you're not participating in the campaign your employers are engaging in on that day, based on religious beliefs or whatever, then just stay at home.
It's the holier than thou attitude they then show that gets on my nerves. Create toxicity then you will get toxic engagement.
You'd like to think so, wouldn't you? I had a pop at him for trying to stir the pot between Pep and Arteta earlier in the season. I got told off by an MEN journo, told me he was just doing his job.
Just another day of toxic shit from Paradise
I like him, England's forgotten right back, glad to hear I'm not the only one.
Any Kyle Walker-Peters shouts?
The Carlo Globetrotters. What an XI that is!!

Yep, I think we can cope without one, without both we're just not near our real level, add in Dias out for a month and it's easy to see why we struggled.
Take Allison, Van Dijk and Salah from Liverpool
Take Saliba, Odegaard and Saka from Arsenal
They'd likely be worse off than we currently are
