Great news, also random comment: I kind of like that combination of super short hair and sideburns on this guy.

The Chinese one is just a phonetic simplification that IMO is somewhat silly (some simplification to the point that Japanese did is fine but PRC China went waay overboard).
My pet peeve is turning 驚 to 惊 when it could have just simplified the horse to 马 at the bottom!
Original history character: 歷
Even his base must be embarrassed by now, no? Like how 9/11 used to be Giuliani's go-to thing to mention that always worked until he just went overboard and made a parody of himself.
Russia thought it could yank out a Jenga piece in three days from the tower of international law to leave it in place for further malicious use.
For four years they've been pulling, pushing, drop kicking, crowbaring this single piece to no avail and lo and behold the tower itself is now shaky.
This seems like a really dumb move especially since Austria is involved on the other end. Since there's over a month until the election, isn't it almost 100% certain to clear up by then and show that Orban's thugs straight up kidnapped them and took the money?
Technically even that isn't guaranteed safety from a Ukrainian strike but hey, the farther from Ukraine the better all things considered

I wonder if it's the old layout that I still use that helps (old.reddit instead of www.reddit) as I still don't see any garbage at all.
Depends entirely on your subreddits. Here's what I see right this moment, all good stuff.
Interestingly it's exactly the same word as pederast besides some vowel change. So same ped- root meaning child as in pedagogy and pediatrician.
So I sometimes wonder if pedos wouldn't be a good translation even if only the etymology is strictly accurate there.
I want to see Fico as a PM for a pipeline project, would be interesting to see if he lasts longer than a day.
"This year's winter dig came in on time and only used 1% of the budget because I looked hard at the satellite photos and it's probably good. What's next?"
*Smiles and waits for raise*
Hahaha Orban needs to look up a few terms I see. Winter dig, hydrostatic testing, what a pig is (not the Orban kind but the one used in pipelines), etc. etc.
Pretty good gig for the soldiers. Is there any easier job in the world than guarding Hungarian energy infrastructure against nonexistent Ukrainian attacks?
Orbán suddenly angry that it's not fixed yet, no doubt
If things go well, in April he will become *private citizen* Orbán who believes that and then it won't matter.
I think it's just about getting their Starlinks whitelisted. First 100% were blacklisted to make sure, then in Ukraine sign up in person (as individuals) or a portal for companies, maybe the army has a separate way. Then updated on Starlink's side every day iI think. Now about 50% are active again.
So far so good, however
Okay but why not a word about Murmansk this whole month?
Scenario 1 for a bit, followed by 3.
Yep, my favourite of all of them so far. Until then WandaVision had been in first place.
Season 1 I liked but wanted to see more agency for Loki and 2 gave it back to him in spades.
Have you seen season 2 as well?
I saw them quite a bit for a while, then they disappeared, showed up again for a bit, and haven't seen them lately. Probably a whack-a-mole thing whenever the ad makers figure out a new way to get past the filters for a while.
I very much doubt that. Russia is completely dumbfounded that their ally and military equipment turned out to be completely useless and Xi would like Russia to finish up its "SMO" as soon as possible so that it can help out with its navy to blockade and do other mischief. Which is also not happening
I think the moment Russia starts to pull back we'll see a flood of weapons/investment as companies try to get them battlefield approved before the war ends. Like if an EU company intended to send 100 missiles for testing months later they would just quickly ship over the 50 or so they have ready.
That Donetsk airport one yesterday was great, showed like 15 hits one after another in rapid succession as you can see the growing effects of the previous strikes in each one.
"POTUS is...to the table" part checks out at least, not sure about the rest.
Found it! Here's the radar struck near the end for anyone curious:

IMO it's just that Europe still uses the talk softly approach, but what it actually does sets both Trump and Russia into a furor. Like despite all the time it took, Europe still came up with 90B euros and now the other two have to deal with it. Good video on that:

That's pretty much a verbatim quote from the very end of Putin's 2021 'academic' paper too (in which he says that Ukraine can't succeed without Russia for God knows what reason). I imagine he probably repeated it a number of times during the conversation and stuck in Trump's ear.
