Of course, when the time comes to use it for its intended purpose, I will. But I thought it's so pretty, it should be displayed and not stored away. Thanks for commenting π

This Art Nouveau cake stand was a great find in France. I've been experimenting with how to display it with decor
From our 3 day weekend in France. Got home this evening, after spending 2 nights there with friends. Exhausted from 3 days of walking around French flea markets but so fun. I set this large light on our bench, to assess if it will look ok in the ceiling light space
We're in France, in the Grand Est region and went to a flea market in LunΓ©ville, France on Saturday evening. Flea Market was a bomb but the Chateau and town beautiful
Today's Erbach Flohmarkt finds. This is a beautiful, clean tanned deer hide, from Germany. Paid only β¬15!
Today's Erbach Flohmarkt finds. I love old baskets! Left was β¬7. Right was β¬2!
Today's Erbach Flohmarkt finds. Daniel's finds. 3 unused, unopened Solingen paring knives for β¬2! A planer (Hobel in German) for β¬3
Today's Erbach Flohmarkt finds. This is a special Hutschenreuther collectible series of porcelain coasters. Made exclusively in our region, for notable trees in the Odenwald (Germany) . We haven't yet researched this series (I'll post when I do). We paid β¬20 for 10. Duplicate years are stacked.
Today's Erbach Flohmarkt finds. White table runner (β¬1) under the antique Sarreguemines soap dish. I've never seen this series (Lima? *lima?). Paid a ridiculous low price of β¬2. We're certain the seller had no clue what its value was. She had some cheap black pearl necklace nearly filling it.
Today's Erbach Flohmarkt finds. Floral green, pink and biege table runners and doily were β¬6
Guest bedroom rose sheets for 5β¬, at Viernheim Flohmarkt. Washed them with a special enzyme soap, borax, washing powder and 90C temp water. Every other item in this room was sourced from flea markets, antique shops, etc., used and very inexpensive. The bedframe was free. Will replace in the future.
4 more items that didn't fit in the first tin/zinc/pewter grouping - another ice bucket, vase, and 2 candelabras
Sarreguemines Royat plates (2). They're kind of a cross between dinner and dessert plates in size. We found these a real prize - they're in excellent condition (no chips or cracks, but typical crazing is evident on the underside), both for 12β¬ total at the Viernheim, Germany flea market.
Sarreguemines Mignonette water pitcher. We found this a real prize - it's in excellent condition (no chips or cracks), for 10β¬ at the Gernsheim, Germany flea market
Got this antique 1/2 liter milk pitcher, with the famous onion pattern (Zwiebelmuster) for β¬8 at the Viernheim, Germany flea market
Got this antique sewing machine oil can for β¬4 at the Gernsheim, Germany flea market. They usually sell for at least β¬5 or much higher.
Im not sure what this was originally affixed to, possibly furniture, but may use it as a decorative part of a door. I'll be removing the paint. I believe it's brass. Got it for 2β¬ at the Gernsheim, Germany flea market.
We went to 2 flea markets last Sunday, in Germany. Gernsheim and Viernheim. This tin mirror frame is only 1 of many items. We paid β¬15 but I'm sure this cost well over β¬100 new, if not β¬200 or more! This right picture is my growing tin/zinc/pewter collection, all flea market vintage or antique
Someone should grab this prayer chair at that price! It's GrΓΌnderzeit (mid 1800s). If I were a reseller, I'd grab it. www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/be...
Erbach, Germany flea market finds /5 Totally just remembered, got this outdoor candle holder for β¬10!
Erbach, Germany flea market finds /4 This is a hand carved wine cork, an older woman (or witch?), whose mouth moves. Paid more than usual β¬12.
Brass 2 tier decorative stand. We already had one that's identical but paid more at the Viernheim, Germany flea market. Paid β¬15.
Brass 2 tier decorative stand. With decor - pink and white water pitcher, filled with pink flowers, on top of a pink and white Sarreguemines plate. 2nd: I hand painted a wood rabbit, and there's a copper watering can. 3rd (under), a small blue and white milk/creamer and a blue and white condiment bowl
This is how I use the brass stand in the kitchen, for saving counter space. A pewter ice bucket with kitchen utensils, 2nd, a blue and white onion keeper (with the Zwiebelmuster onion pattern), and blue and white spoon holder, says ProbierlΓΆffel (trying, or tasting spoon). 3rd (under): a salzglasur (salt glazed) pot with lid. I use for collecting vegetable scraps.
Erbach, Germany flea market finds /3
Villeroy & Boch blue and white Zwiebelmuster (onion pattern) water pitcher. Fairly rare, we discovered they were manufactured only between about 1874-1919. Worth around β¬125 or more. We paid β¬15
Another picture of the water pitcher with a blue flower arrangement.
Two blue and white porcelain planters. Closed and small, so are perfect for orchids. Left: Delfts (Holland). Right: Woodland Wedgewood (UK). Paid β¬5 for both combined.
A closer look at the UK porcelain planters
Erbach, Germany flea market finds /2
An old Russian flat iron. We'll use for bubbled laminate, to fix it. It still works but we have to use a German power adapter. Paid β¬5
Hutschenreuther appetizer bowls, blue and white. Not sure the value or what they're worth, but we believe they're rare. I put tamari (soy sauce) in one. Paid β¬8 for 6
The blue and white bird napkins aren't the thing, but the crystal napkin holder. They aren't easy to find! Paid β¬10
Blue and white condiment bowl with lid. Kahla. Paid β¬2,50
