I believe you correctly nailed it i no SV - my cats most definitely view kibble as the feline equivalent to potato chips. Thus kibble is relegated to a mid-morning “snack” in our household.

Third book of the year completed. The Magnificent Ruins by Nayantara Roy. Enjoyable read. Family drama set in 21st century Kolkata. Thumbs up.
Exact opposite here. Love MoF but could never get into the other one. :) I found MoF ultimately hopeful and so fascinating. Same with Termination Shock by Neal Stephenson.
Finished my first book of 2025 - North Woods by Daniel Mason. It was a doozy - so glad I stuck with it through the first 100 pages - the historical layering both from a naturalist perspective and a human perspective was fascinating - especially looking back from the final pages.
