Our helpline and office will be closed for the Christmas break from Wednesday, 24 December 2025, to Friday, 26 December 2025.
We will resume normal operations on Monday, 29 December 2025, at 9:30am.

We will also be closed on Thursday, 1 January 2026, and will reopen on Friday, 2 January 2026.

What a fantastic day in the MAC at our Legislative Theatre event on domestic abuse and homelessness. Huge thanks to the incredibly talented group of women who co-created and performed such a powerful play based on their first-hand experiences of domestic abuse and homelessness.

The law is changing around rent increases in the private rented sector.

From 1st April 2025, Landlords can only increase rents once in any 12-month period and must give a 3-month written notice.

Threshold Ireland and Housing Rights have issued an Invitation to Tender.

The aim of this project is to carry out an all-island survey of private sector tenants’ views and experiences.

Child poverty is projected to fall in Scotland (and rise elsewhere) because of policy decisions made by Scot govt. The NI Executive was once also brave on welfare mitigations.

This session will focus on debt and will look at options available to help homeowners, social renters, and private renters who are struggling to pay for their homes.
