I have too much empathy, it is a problem. I feel sad for ISIS warriors too.

Sounds really good. Really hope you find one soon <3
Hope you find a sweet little cutie for you
I am not crazy about the verhuisdieren website, so much of it just seems like backyard breeder pet mills too. Yeah you just found a litter of golden retriever puppies on the street, sure. But some of the origin rescues do good work
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
We never did it ourselves! Well sort of, we got hamsters in Moscow and smuggled them back. I know one family who smuggled their dog back from Oman to the Netherlands, that is kinda crazy and cool. But yeah we never got a dog or cat for that reason either
Ah right sorry i forgot for a second that you had also been in that background so you know what you are talking about !
(cause all people were placed there for 4-6 years as posting, so this is not a random number of years)
The animals were generally former street dogs and cats taken in. Living with a family for 4-6 years and then living with another family for another 4-6 years was considered more humane
Exactly, the best way to rile people up on the internet
We never did that ourselves. We had hamsters in Moscow and we smuggled them when moving in exchange for a bottle of vodka to the guards
It is just a different attitude towards animals, they are generally just as happy with another owner
I just think people wishing death on people leaving the Gulf and leaving their pets behind, something i have seen a lot, goes way too far and they dont get it at all
i am an UAE foreign policy hater and do absolutely not want to imply the nature of the war zones as similar, so i get where you are coming from in
When people in our expat community in Oman left and were pet owners, they often gave them away to other people, cause the months of quarantine & the flight would be too stressful and cruel for the pet. This was considered the humane option.
(This was in the 90s, sure, things can have changed)
They are annoying af and i dont want to defend them, but the way people are just stupid in their hatred is too much sometimes
But at the core leaving an animal behind when fleeing for your life does not make you a bad person.
You cannot just bring your pet on an international flight most of the time without quarantaine. Bringing your pet when flying is fundamentally very different from fleeing over land, so pointing at Ukrainians and Gazans bringing their pets is silly.
Obviously cruel abandonment is a different case.
Why is the internet making me defend Dubai influencers ahhhhhhhh
Duidelijk jouw probleem

Kunnen jullie helpen? (Comment in de onderstaande post, niet hier). Wat is er leuk in Den Haag en Maastricht?
Women marching in the usa in the 1960s or 1970s, with signs "women strike for peace and equality", "the women of Vietnam are our sisters", "i'm no breeder for the man's war" and "sisterhood is powerful - end the war!"
Happy International women's day!
anyone to follow from Iran, Pakistan, Lebanon, Bahrain, yemen, oman, etc. who discusses these issues. The point is that the 4 people on this website from my field are all American. Come on guys how do you not get this and instead berate me for following people from the usa...
I am talking about all the debate on war and international politics on this website, the feeds on war and politics, the discovery and for you feeds, rhe posts that get big, the comments, the discourse in general. It is about everything, not about who i follow. The point is that there is barely
Why are people responding to this post as if i am from the US....
I see that you are actually from the usa... Which makes this comment even more tone deaf. You do not understand how much the US perspective is forced down our throat all the time, but thanks for the lecturer
What an incredibly weird comment
I am not from the us myself, mute a million us terms, always seeking out non us people. But that does not mean the debate on international politics and war is overwhelmingly dominated by people from the US
This website is insufferably American right now. Yes they oppose the war in Iran, but their analytical lens is really only on the US and the US interests, supporting the US imperial project.
