Man carrying home his gardening tools arrested by armed police in Manchester Samuel Rowe, who was returning from allotment, seeking to overturn caution for possession of offensive weapon

Pretty sure David Graeber would have had something to say about this.

The US-EU trade deal is reminiscent of a false discounting deal. They hike the price by 30% and then offer you a deal reduced by 15% leaving you accepting an offer higher than what it was originally. Except this one has repercussions for many people. #trump #tradedeal

Dumit (2012) is close to what you wanted but is specifically on pharma. Apparantly covers how pharma trcik the public into trusting drugs over trusting their own body.

Strange, still works for me. Anyway, here are a few to be going on with:

Bryan S. Turner (2008) – The Body and Society: Explorations in Social Theory

Deborah Lupton (1996) – Food, the Body and the Self

Joseph Dumit (2012) – Drugs for Life: How Pharmaceutical Companies Define Our Health

Sage Journals: Discover world-class research Subscription and open access journals from Sage, the world's leading independent academic publisher.

That is a pretty specific emphasis so I would have to defer to somebody with more expertise in this area. However, I might start with this journal and see what you can find. I can always recommend some more general texts on the body.

πŸ‘‹ Have any of my followers successfully converted their #sociology thesis into a monograph? If so, is it possible to link me to your open access thesis and let me know the name of the monograph it was converted into? I am about to do my own but it would be great to see an example. TIA πŸ‘
