Thanks everyone that came to my Amazon talk! And for all the fantastic questions!!
K so I'd forgotten I hate making slide decks. If I just screenshot my Amazon Seller Central a bunch and slap them in a deck, will that work for my Monday presentation? Lol
Tbh I just quit social media and hired someone to promote brand posts. Helped a lot.
In the two weeks from Feb 9th to Feb 23rd, Amazon "liquidated" 24 units of Sky Team. They gave us an average of $1.65 per unit, after charging us for the courtesy of disposing this product. This product that they had to liquidate because they damaged it ๐ฎโ๐จ
On Monday at GAMA I'm going to dive deeper
Ah! MONDAY IS MY TALK! Sorry!!
Monday!! Yes!
Haha, I did the same with but in Python!!!!
Had a call today with a company that still uses vendor. It's an even bigger rip off, yep
Oh hey it's still shit.
I'll be showing actual sales data, fees and charges, so you can see exactly how much we actually make per copy sold. And how much Amazon makes. And I'll show you how it would be much worse if it wasn't us selling Sky Team on Amazon.
That's only for vendor central and no longer a thing with brand registrations - which can be a huge issue if you aren't maintaining your brand right! Someone can literally steal your brand!
Publishers, seriously, come and take notes and I will save you days of struggles. Weeks. Months!
It's listed for retailers or publishers, I can't remember, but I definitely recommend it for publishers wanting to sell on Amazon. Don't just let some firm do this for you, seriously. I will teach you everything I know. And for retailers, I will show you literally all my cards on the Amazon backend.
Oh hey so Tuesday 10am March 3rd at GAMA I'm doing a seminar on how much money we made selling Sky Team on Amazon and I'm gonna go over tips and tricks and a bunch of stuff about selling (and buying) on Amazon.
The TLDR is that Amazon sucks and Prime is a lie.
The more AI gets to dilute games' main appeal, the less viable it becomes as product. The worse they sell, the less they're put in front of people. Which eventually results in specialized games for a specialized market at boutique prices.
Turning games into a cultural practice for the select few.
Photo of giant Decrypto setup to play at a Randolph pub
They're making me play Decrypto in French. This isn't going to go great, ya all.
First that I've seen!
Them: The nature of your visit?
Me: Business meetings with Canadian associates.
Them: what company?
Me: Randolph Pubs
Them: Oh, I love those
I'm in Montreal this week for meetings and it always surprises me that the customs agents always know Randolph Game Pubs. They're a staple in Montreal culture and like no one in the US knows them.

Here's the image tax from NYTF.
Sup. I gave up social media for a bit and TBH it was the best, but I definitely lost touch with friends. So now that convention season is rolling up, I'm on again for a bit.
With NYTF done, my next show is GAMA Expo! The @hachettebgusa.bsky.social crew and I will be showing off our '26 releases.
Take it from the citizens of DC. This is all a distraction, and another power grab that threatens the health of our democracy.

If your kids are young enough you can convince them virtually any N*SYNC song is a new Saja Boys release. It helps if you say stuff like โthis is Abbyโ during solo parts.
Both Solstis and Seaside made Actualol's top 10 Travel Games list!
"Seaside is bright, breezy and a lovely way to spend the day."
And Solstis is "The perfect game to play with your partner."
What is YOUR favorite travel game?

Honestly, right now I think it's a bad time to be a dinosaur
Photo of a new oven with a microwave stacked on top, in the center of a kitchen. The empty hole where they go has a step ladder in it.
I've been home sleeping for two days now and this is as far as we've gotten. But he's determined to get the microwave in tonight!
Bless Steve. I ordered a new oven and microwave and it was accidentally delivered while I was at Gen Con. Without install, because I thought I'd be home and helping.
They said Philly was the only decent option, but there were issues with it too, beyond unplugged. Chicago suffers from expense but really, Indy is murdering us with the extra fees they force the hotels to charge.
It will never move west of Kansas city. The majority of it's vendors and attendees drive in
The Gen Con owners don't want to move to Philly, for a few reasons, but one being it will hurt PAX Unplugged's attendance
