How ‘little treat culture’ is bringing comfort to Boston Little treat culture is alive and well in Boston, where bakeries are booming and the residents need more pick-me-up sweets.

It's only 10 a.m. and I've already had a stress doughnut. "Little treat culture" is not new, but some Boston bakery owners told me they've seen more customers since Nov. come in for a daily cookie, brownie, or other little treat to combat stress or boredom. Latest:
