Have you seen this? It’s the full concert from 1984 that’s on the new release. They’ve also stuck it on their YouTube channel. It’s all Miami Vice jackets and Steinbergers.

It’s WAY better than the Terry Brown mix.
The brutalist 40 George Square (formerly David Hume Tower) looks better in a B&W photo in spring light & shadow than it does in real life

The worst thing about it is that they actually played well in the first half with good play resulting in good tries. Then the 2nd half happened and they made a complete Edinburgh of it. 🤬
It was rescheduled from week 2. Supporters might have been optimistic then. For a supposed sellout I could see empty seats in the Lothian Stand. People buying tickets with preseason enthusiasm for a September match deciding not to go on a freezing March when they’ve seen how dismal Edinburgh are.
At halftime I was beginning to regret my decision to not go to any more games as a protest against the SRU extending Everitt’s contract but the 2nd half showed I made the right decision. Just embarrassing.
It couldn’t last. They’ve reverted to their default dismal setting.
It’s definitely a lot beefier than the original.
I know it’s a friendly but that’s an absurd number of replacements. Presumably they’re getting players back up to speed before the Prem restarts next week and it’ll be a different team that plays in the 2nd half.
Snowdrops in memory of all the children and their teacher who were murdered in Dunblane on this day in 1986. RIP Sophie.
I’ll have the deep fried kebab please.
It’s a weird place for it. According to Wikipedia he seems to have been brought up on the other side of the city and went to school at Stenhouse and Tynecastle.
The Scottish Merchant Navy Memorial in Leith and just a few of the small bronze figures that it features.
Is that the former Spiers Bar?
Up at the House of the Binns on a very blustery day today. I think these are meant to represent peacock feathers (the actual peacocks weren’t anywhere to be seen). The 2nd photo is of Blackness Castle from the grounds with Charlestown in the distance.
Check out my spooky find in Edinburgh
Just Edinburgh
#OtD 9 Mar 1914 women battled police in Glasgow during Emmeline Pankhurst's speaking tour of Scotland. They used jiu-jitsu and barbed wire concealed in flower bouquets, and one woman fired blanks from a revolver stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/1092...
Davidson’s Mains scout hall. Can you get badges for street art now?
Tuipolotu meshes beautifully with Russell. In a situation where Russell is at 10 then Tuipolotu is the best player to have at 12.
Finbarr Saunders and his double entendres.
Yay for Spring. Daffodils are out in Parkgrove. Can’t be long till cherry blossom season.
That’s a shame. 😢 I like the Corstorphine museum there and it’s got a fine wee cafe.
I used to live round the corner in Lochrin Buildings. In my heavy rock days I saw Nazareth and Diamond Head there. Also It Bites in the upstairs club.
Leith Docks, just keep on giving. #Scotland #photography
Currently strolling through Chambers Street...
I thought I saw Dempsey holding his arm late in the game.
Who though? Cummings and Brown presumably. Steyn seemed pretty sure he’d be OK.
