For example. I have been into 3d printing figures and painting them lately. Even if I don't say anything about 3d printing in the post, I've noticed interaction from 3d printing enthusiasts. They likely discovered them from the alt text I include to the tune of "3d printed figure of..."

I'm a huge fan of the system but I think for art even something short and simple is totally valid. For example "drawing of (character) doing (whatever)" still gives important context our limited vision friends may miss.

Bonus, I noticed that alt text has been expanding the reach of some posts
