Looks to me that they had the long studs already - you’d assume that Gallagher would have warned them if the coaching team didn’t already know. Atleti players were also slipping, but of course are much more used to the surface.
You were consistently right about this. My view at the time was Ange deserved another season, but I wasn’t convinced it was the right decision. Everyone around me wanted him gone 🙄
This is exactly right.
There’s a small fraction of fans who enjoy trying to wind up opposing fans. That, plus a lot of beer and incredible stupidity is what’s going on here. But the rest of us match going fans have to try to stop the worst of it. I was in Frankfurt and would have had a go if I’d seen it. Most would.
💯
My ultimate fantasy is still that Pep decides he needs a real challenge 😆
I wonder. He always struck me as an intelligent thoughtful guy, and I think the players mostly feel the rivalry and loyalty much less than the fans.
And ‘accuses’ - I hate the way the subs do that for clicks
Agree; no idea how you get that headline from what he actually said.
And Peter banks says he’s happy with his decision. Absolute joke.
Is this’s going to be like the football episode of inside number 9? At the end of the season Vinai is going to stand up in the director’s box, take his shirt off, turn round, and we’ll see Arsenal tattooed across his back.
Could not agree more
Does anyone think the free for all wrestling matches from corners is good for football? Does it need a rule change or just referees to be much tougher?
Flat first half atmosphere, Gary Neville can’t shut up about it, it’s almost eerie, could get very ugly, never seen it like this, Tottenham in real trouble. Great second half atmosphere, Gary Neville: … feel like the commentators have just got this narrative and nothing will shake it
He’s an absolute warrior as well as being technically excellent and brave with the ball. Our only genuinely world class player?
Just been to see ‘the ghost of white hart lane’. Highly recommend if you’re in north london - especially if you’re a spurs fan, but it’s just a good piece of theatre www.jacksonslane.org.uk/events/the-g...
Isn’t it just a question of dom needing match sharpness after so long off? So dom starts and tel comes on later - dom obviously won’t play 90
I think allowing djed and porro to rotate on the right will benefit both of them too
Can’t speak for the rest of the world, but for me the truly shocking thing is that 30-40% of Americans see what he is but support him anyway. Whether he’s there or not, it’s very clear that de Gaulle was right and America can’t be trusted. It’s not so clear what the consequences will be for the US.
Really good, and I share the worry that the fans toxicity will lead to the best players we have wanting to leave, the best players we don’t have not wanting to come, and any potential top manager thinking there are much easier gigs.
Still remember my first game at the lane with you and Martin Chivers. Magical as an eight year old. I used to pretend to be him in the playground.
Disgraceful
That’s the problem. I can take the results. I could probably even take the performances if there was any hint of what he’s trying to do.
Would be great to see your stuff here. I don’t and won’t see them anywhere else.
This occurred to me too
If you go back over every goal and say ‘could player X have done anything different’, you’re going to get a lot of yeses, especially if they’re a central defender. We all do it. But if you think spurs would be a better team without Romero, I don’t know what to tell you.
Honestly could not agree less. He’s our only world class player.
I meant the team performance was unacceptable, not Xavi. He was trying to make things happen and seeing a lot of the ball, but lost possession so often and in good positions. Didn’t think he had an awful game but not good. I thought Romero was our best player but it’s a low bar.
