I've begun listening to The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring read by Andy Serkis, through Audible. One of the best readings I've ever heard. Inspired, dramatic, compelling. He really takes you there. I wholeheartedly recommend it to you!

Tomorrow, Sunday 8th March, is the 45th anniversary of the wonderful BBC radio adaptation of THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Originally in 26 half hour episodes, then later as 13 hour-long blocks. Michael Horden played Gandalf, Robert Stephens was Aragorn. Ian Holm took on Frodo Baggins.

Just watched the brilliant 1983 film of THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES. Ian Richardson made a good Sherlock Holmes. Possibly the best adaptation of the novel by ACD that I've seen. [It's on TUBI if you want to judge for yourself]
