I am pretty sure a positive RAT indicates the presence of infectious virus which is why the CDC says negative tests 48 hours apart. The day recommendations are based on common lengths of infectiousness for those without access to tests, I assume. I'm not a doctor.
You have probably seen - the messaging is terrible for masks here. Even when people ask health authorities if they should, the answer is that it isn't a recommendation to do so. There is no isolation and basically no testing. Håndsprit is still everywhere. No acknowledgment cleaning air would help.
