Sarah Fortune’s groundbreaking research on tuberculosis—the deadliest disease in the world—based at Harvard Chan School, is among a number of research enterprises in jeopardy due to federal funding freezes targeted at Harvard University and other research institutions.

I didn’t know. It was hard to believe initially but seems true as I just found that their daily calorie intake is 2-3 times of human. Yes, I’d think it’s mostly difference in digestion/absorption rather than metabolism. But still very surprising!
Happy to share the final version of this work where we incorporated isotope labeled CO2 data into mass spectrometry based flux analysis, resulting in a flux model that depicts at the whole-body level functioning of energy metabolism in health and disease.
