At the same time, play all the early rounds as the 1895 Cup. Top 2 in the 1895 qualify for the Challenge Cup quarters with the best 6 in Super League.
Seed the draw so the 1895 qualifiers can't play each other. It's just the skeleton of the idea. It still needs more detail. What do you think?

Borrow from the NBA Cup and divide the SL teams into pools and schedule them to play each other in the league in the first 5-6 weeks so the games count as league games and qualifiers.

State of Origin should never be tied to the international game. The eligibility rules should make it so that young stars should never have to choose not to play Origin to play for their nation because they will likely choose Origin.

In my experience, the teams each individual club fan has a rivalry with (I don't agree with the term "hate") is unique to their own personal fanship.
