We endorse this demonstration because safe, secure, and genuinely affordable housing is fundamental to health justice.
If we are serious about reducing health inequalities and advancing health justice, we must get serious about housing.
Brick by brick, home by home, so our health can thrive!

On #InternationalWomensDay, and every day, we stand with refugee women in the UK.
Banned from working, people seeking sanctuary are forced to live on just Β£1.40 a day.
Now, this Government is stripping this meagre support away.
Leaving no safety net from poverty.
Absolutely. And yes, far from exhaustive.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
PEOPLE POWER WORKS!
The US murders 180 schoolchildren then claims it 'never targets civilians'.
Amazing stuff π

1/ Weβve got big news: RAMFEL is now Refugee and Migrant Justice.
What started as a small advice service in an East London church has grown into 1 of the UKβs largest providers of immigration advice & a leading national voice standing for the rights of migrants, refugees & people seeking asylum.
One of my favourite sides of politics/media.
Some words I wrote about the Gorton and Denton by-election in my capacity as Comms Lead at @manchestercos.bsky.social π
Our statement on the incident at Manchester Central Mosque.

The conversation about housing is all wrong.
For decades, governments havenβt built enough social homes. People are struggling. Yet refugees get blamed.
Our new video flips the narrative and focuses on the real issue.
Watch it. Share it. Letβs change the conversation.

Their entire policy remit is just copying what the US does.
The irony of Yusuf talking about keeping people safe, whilst announcing plans for a UK version of ICE.
You know, ICE, the same agency culpable for the deaths of eight people so far this year.
"I will secure our borders and make you feel safe."
This mob and 'safe' don't belong in the same sentence.

Ian, I think you'll like these reflections I wrote on the immigration plans (in my capacity as Comms Lead at @manchestercos.bsky.social):
Smashed it π
Ngl, we were ahead of the curve with our statement!
Calling for Ratcliffe to apologise is all well and good. But Starmer needs to look at some of his own rhetoric:
'inward migration exploded'
'a one-nation experiment in open borders'
'incalculable damage'
'economy distorted'
This sets the tone.
'Colonised' aside, none of this is any different to what Jim Ratcliffe said.
In fact, you'd be forgiven for thinking it was Jim's inspiration.
Our public services arenβt for a secretive profit-hungry US tech firm. Sign the petition to tell the Government to scrap all contracts with secretive US tech firm Palantir. you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/st...

The other day Manchester Unitedβs co-owner Jim Ratcliffe said the UK had been "colonised by immigrants"β¦.today thereβs this billboard outside of Old Trafford π₯β¦.way to go Manchester πͺ!
Riven with paradox.
