Here's some of my results from today's Partial Solar eclipse. I had some tracking issues, likely due to the EQ Wedge Dwarf 3 mounted on. I should have adjusted the wedge back to 0ยฐ really.
This is the first Solar Eclipse I have imaged properly and I am so thankful for my clever little telescope ๐ญ
Thank you!!
Thank you!
The D3 canneasily be connected to a PC/Laptop/Phone to transfer the files. I believe the D3 has a larger FOV that the S50.
I don't think you would go wrong with either Dwarf 3 or a Seestar 50. The D3 has a long turn around time at the moment with it being so new. I preordered mine in May and it arrived in Nov. It is very much worth the wait though.
Thank you! The Dwarf 3 has very much surprised me. I struggle to carry my SW rig now for health reasons. Just being able to grab the D3, and be ready to shoot in minutes is a game changer for me. It would be great for travelling too.
Yeah, those egg shaped stars! My EQ alignment was within 2ยฐ deviation for the images. In Astro Mode, the Dwarf 3 doesnt have a 45 secs option, so I either have 30 secs or need to get aligned perfectly. Thanks!
Thank you!!!
I am Bortle 5, but am about 3 miles from Beachy Head in Sussex, right on the coast where our Dark Sky Area begins. I am also lucky to have had a downshield fitted to a nearby street light.
Thank you! I think this is now my most favourite image to date. I will be adding to this data over the winter
