I got back into the KnY anime after having dropped it back in '23 (I read the whole amnga as it released) and ended up watching it all last weekend. I got lucky and the movie is back in theates. I went to see it this afternoon it was just me and 1 other person. Almost thought it would be just me!

I know 😭 I've had it saved in my panel folder for years. Since I wanted to finally tackle this big hoop I figured it would be the best chance to be able to do it.

I actually already started some progress on it a couple weeks ago!

I only got a bit done today but omg what a difference that magnifying lens made! I was really able to see what I was doing with the smaller details on the face. I can't wait to try it with the sewing thread.

Yes! I already had a standing floor light so what I really wanted was the magnifier. The light was just a nice bonus.

I bought a new clamping magnifying light for my embroidery! I'm using it for the first time and it's so nice! It'll make working on my giant Knives hoop much easier!

Linework is progressing! It's a little hard to tell right now but I'm using dark blue thread instead of black. Ihave new lighter purple-ish sewing thread coming to use for this as well!

I still absolutely love Stampede. I so wish I could feel the same about Stargaze but it's just a complete let down of expectations and it sucks because so many of us were looking forward to this for so long. I still plan to see it through to the end but it's just not hitting the same.

Milly especially has me sad. There's like no depth to her at all and she just feels thrown in to say they have her.
I want to think that this isn't how orange wanted this to turn out and they're being constrained in what they can do bc Trigun just isn't the huge money maker that other shows are.

Yeah I'm at the point now where I can say my mind is made up and stargaze just isn't doing it for me. It really needed to be AT LEAST 24 episodes so they could flesh things out more. Characters are so underdeveloped and they're just rushing things because they only have 12 eps to fit everything in.
